Elvira, who I'm a fan of, came from eighties local cable where she perfected her corny shtick hosting a TV show that showed old horror movies. There's something wonderful about a local show that's been lost in the age of 24 hour cable--and yet I think it will return because of the internet which will tie in more directly with TV of the future.
