At least A1NutritionProducts.com features Mega Energy. |
COMPANY: Fuze Beverages, Englewood Cliffs, NJ
CAN DESIGN: It's a good design but I don't know what the meaning of the symbol over the main text means or is supposed to represent. Whatever the case, the text is big and bold and stands out. The background rays of blue and silver complement the text instead of overtaking it. Works well.
CAN DETAILS: 16 FL OZ, 200 Calories
PRICE: On sale for 1.79 at Albertsons.
WEBSITE: www.DrinkMegaEnergy.com is what's listed on the can--DO NOT VISIT! Unfortunately it goes to an ad site that doesn't look like it's related to Mega Energy, and you'll get hit with a ton of popups as my popup blocker clicked several times. I tried to do a search for the website but nada. I even tried to do a search for Fuze, the company name. Nada. These guys need to work on their SEO. And Fuze needs to get a website! If it's there it ain't showing up.
TASTE: Nothing that seems too original. It's a juiced energy drink, or at least that's what I call energy drinks that focus on a citrus taste. Mega Energy boasts mango and Passionfruit and that's pretty much what you get, plus a lot of sugar. It's good, just not great.
AFTERTASTE: A little citrus, or acidic taste.
SUSTAINED EFFECTS: I admittedly drank this on an empty stomach which is a bad idea with energy drinks. Made my stomach gurgle for several hours.
OVERALL: The can design and the drink itself are fine. The problem here is where the hell is their website? No internet presence? I would think that would be unheard of for any product company.
WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN? Yes, but only at a discount or a third or fourth choice.
GENERAL COMMENTS: Get a website Fuze. |
