FLASH GAME: SLAPSHOT Hockey is known for it's violence but it does also take some skill to slap that puck into the goal, or into the goalie's scorebox--he'd better be wearing a cup.
Slap Shot is also a great movie starring Paul Newman as a coach who brings his team glory and fame through starting pointless fights on the ice. This film has enough of a cult status that Todd McFarlane made action figures of some of the players called the Hanson Brothers. Stephen Baldwin also stars in a recent sequel, which I'm sure is lame. What the film was really known for at the time of its release is all of the foul language--because Hockey Players swear, dammit!
